What can you expect on your first CrossFit class?
It's completely normal to feel a little nervous the first time you try CrossFit. That's okay. We're happy to help you feel prepared by explaining what you can expect during your first CrossFit class:
- Check-in: When you arrive, you'll find the reception desk on your right, where you can check-in. One of our coaches will come to welcome you and help you get settled.
- Welcome and introduction: Your coach will welcome you and give you a brief overview of what to expect during the class
- Warming-up: The class starts with a warm-up to get your muscles moving and and prepare your body for the workout
- Technique and strength: Your coach will explain and demonstrate the technique and movements. This can range from weightlifting to gymnastics.
- Workout of the Day (WOD): This is the main part of the class. The WOD changes every day and can include a combination of strength, endurance or skills. Your coach will help you make any necessary adjustments based on your level.
- Community and encouragement: Troughout the class, you'll receive plenty of encouragement from the coach and your fellow CrossFitters. It's common for everyone to motivate and support one another.
- Cooling-down: After the WOD you'll have a cool-down to lower your heart rate and help your muscles recover. Your coach may also share some tips on recovery or nutrition.
- Feedback and questions: Your coach will be available to answer your questions or provide feedback on your performance or technique.
You can expect your first CrossFit class to be challenging, supportive, and a great oppurtunity to learn something new.
